Whose numbers these are

A statistic is published here only when its publisher’s own terms allow it to be republished, commercially, with credit. Most of the organisations below release their data under a Creative Commons Attribution licence; a few use terms of their own that say the same thing. Where a publisher restricts reuse, or publishes no terms at all, its data stays off the site. Silence is not permission, because copyright is automatic.

Every licence was read by a person, and the date it was read is recorded, because terms change. That date is printed below for each publisher and on every dataset page. When you reuse a figure you found here, the credit belongs to the publisher, and the Terms of use explain how to give it.

Largest contributors first. Each name links to the organisation’s own site; each statistic links to its page here, where every edition is catalogued.

Several large platforms redistribute other organisations’ statistics, and a redistributed copy is sometimes rounded on the way. Before a statistic is added, the producer’s own release is compared with the convenient copy row for row, and if the producer serves more precision the site reads from the producer. Four series were moved for that reason in September 2026, and the comparison is recorded on each one’s dataset page so it is not repeated.
