It is the one measure on this site that systematically pushes wealthy, high-emitting countries DOWN, which makes it a useful corrective to read beside the HDI rather than a duplicate of it. ⚠ Not 34 published editions: the 2025 Human Development Report recalculates every year on one methodology.
