What to write to us about
- A mistake. Name the page, the country and the figure, say what you think it should be, and if you can, link to the publisher’s own table. Fixes are recorded on the Corrections page.
- A statistic you would like added. Say which and who publishes it. The first thing we check is the licence, the second whether the producer publishes it at full precision; both are quick when the report is named.
- A press enquiry. Say who you are writing for and by when. The Press & citation page has the boilerplate, the logo and the citation formats, which may answer the question already.
- Permission to reuse something. The Terms of use cover most cases without asking. For a whole article or chart, write and we will usually say yes.
- A question about the method. Read the Methodology page first, then ask anything it leaves open. Questions that improve the page are the ones we like best.
