Container Import Dwell Time
2 years, 2023–2024 · 156 countries · 3 measures
Container import dwell time is how many days a full shipping container typically sits in the port where it arrives before it leaves by truck or train — the time taken by port handling, customs and other border checks together. The World Bank measures it from the tracking records of real container journeys, rather than by asking people what they think.
This site holds every year from 2023 to 2024, read from World Bank Group’s own data and stored exactly as published.

Changed by this site
Reshaped into one row per country: regional and income-group totals are left out, only the columns listed are kept, each row gets its ISO 3166 code, and some country names are brought to one spelling. No value is recalculated, rescaled or rounded.
From World Bank Data360 (Logistics Performance Indicators 2.0, 2025 report), published to one decimal of a day. The number of container journeys behind each figure is the Bank's own note.
