How much of its foreign earnings does a country pay on its external debt?
Of the 109 countries compared in 2024, Iran had the lowest reading, 0.285%, and El Salvador had the highest reading, 96.199%. In the middle country the figure was 12.925%. Among the 60 countries measured in every edition since 1982, the middle one moved from 18.196% to 13.375%.
