Unlike the land and sector shares beside it this one really is directional: getting more grain from the same ground is the definition of agricultural productivity, and it is how a growing population gets fed without clearing more forest. ⚠ The very top of the table is small territories farming a tiny, intensively worked area — not the world’s great grain producers, who sit lower and grow vastly more. ⚠ 2024 is not imported: only 79 countries had reported, one short of the floor. ⚠ These are not separate published reports — `restatedByReport` names the World Development Indicators release they were pulled from. ⚠ A statistic, not an index: no rank is published, so none is stored, and it is not in the Country Index; the POSITION shown on the statistics page is derived here by ordering the score, and labelled as ours.
