The share of adults aged 25 and over who finished upper secondary education or went further — a stock measure of what a country’s working-age population actually holds, rather than what its schools are currently doing. Female and male rates are stored beside the headline. It is the natural companion to `mean-years-schooling`: that one counts years, this one counts whether a threshold was crossed. ⚠ Editions reporting fewer than 50 countries are not written — that drops UIS’s trailing stub year, which opens with a handful of early reporters, and any thin historical year. ⚠ UIS ranks nobody, so no rank is stored; the POSITION on the statistics page is derived here by ordering the score and labelled as ours.
